Defense technology company Anduril Industries has raised a new round of funding that will double its valuation. Its investors include Valor Equity Partners, Founders Fund and 8VC.
Founded in 2017, Anduril’s military solutions are centered on autonomous systems that can patrol air, space, and sea. It also offers AI and computer vision-powered operating systems that connect military systems.
July of 2020
Founded in 2017, Anduril develops and builds hardware and software for detection and ‘target classification’. Its tools include autonomous surveillance drones, battering-ram UAVs, sensor surveillance towers, VR headsets, and an IoT network.
Anduril’s products rely on its software platform, Lattice. It is designed to fuse real-time sensor data to create a single autonomous operating picture.
The company is currently in the field supporting operations with the Department of Defense and Customs and Border Protection, as well as other government agencies. Its work with the Department of Defense is part of the Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) project, which aims to develop smart warfare technology.
Anduril has secured several contracts to supply Sentry Towers and other sensor technologies for border security. These sentry towers are able to remotely monitor stretches of the US-Mexico border and detect human or animal movement.
About Us
No sane person wants war, yet the world has been ravaged by violence. The good news is that it hasn’t ended, and a handful of businesses are building a new way to fight it.
One such company is Anduril Industries, which was founded in 2017 by Palmer Luckey, the man behind Oculus VR. He’s working to bring a Silicon Valley-style innovation to the defense industry, using software to power tomorrow’s weapons.
Instead of relying on government funding and cost-plus contracting, Anduril deploys its own capital to R&D and production, then sells the technology when it’s ready for use. This innovative business model allows Anduril to create superior technology for the military while saving the government money.

Anduril Industries is a company committed to addressing the most complex national security challenges. The company develops cutting edge technology that enables America and its allies to maintain global leadership.
Andurl’s products are based on an orchestrating software system called Lattice, which can draw information from field assets including sensors, drones, and autonomous underwater vehicles. Leveraging artificial intelligence and computer vision, Lattice constructs a live, detailed view of the battlefield.
Stephens says that when the Pentagon wants to acquire a new product, it typically sets extremely detailed specifications. Instead, Anduril designs from first principles, building to the mission and not a prescriptive set of requirements.
The result is a hardware-first defense business that has built a comprehensive product suite in just five years. Powered by Lattice, Anduril’s products represent leap-ahead advancements in military operations, surveillance, and munitions across air, land, and sea.

DuckDuckGo Leverages Apple Tags to Attack Google

DuckDuckGo is growing in users, and at the moment, it is being updated for iOS at the same time as it compares with Google and Chrome.
In these times, there seems to be an effort on users to take paths in which their privacy is reinforced. We have seen an example in the transfer of users that has been experienced between WhatsApp and Telegram, but some people move to other areas, such as search engines.
DuckDuckGo has been known for years as a search engine that prioritizes privacy and is constantly growing. It may not be the preferred option for those who shy away from Google, but it is one to consider. The well-known search engine is updated with the App Store privacy labels that offer information to know the data that the applications collect, and something interesting has been published.
In DuckDuckGo, they have decided that they can use them in their favor despite having been against them first, and now they inform users that Chrome and Google are spying on them.
Through the Twitter account, DuckDuckGo has published a comparison of the data they collect compared to Google, and the same image already shows what most users probably knew.
- After months of stalling, Google finally revealed how much personal data they collect in Chrome and the Google app. No wonder they wanted to hide it.
- Spying on users has nothing to do with building a great web browser or search engine. We would know (our app is both in one).
- – DuckDuckGo (@DuckDuckGo) March 15, 2021
DuckDuckGo does not collect user data. A large part of it is obtained and saved in Google, such as location, browsing history, financial information, search history, and many more, as recalled by 9to5Mac.
This onslaught is consistent with Apple’s intentions to improve user privacy and how it has been campaigning for a long time. The company wants the user to be the one who decides the data they share with the applications, not to let them be accessed by default, something that has especially bothered Google and Facebook.
In the end, it must be the same user who decides which applications and search engines he uses, what gains in results, privacy, and other aspects. And for that, it is positive to be able to access as much information as possible.

This is how Telegram’s voice channels work: ClubHouse for everyone!

A few days ago, it was leaked that Telegram was working on functionality that would allow voice chats between several public group and channel members. A concept that ClubHouse has exploited and that has become popular among the people. With the new update, Voice Chats 2.0 is now available to all Telegram users.
With the new Telegram, update come voice channels with no limit of participants. That is why you can have moderate conversations on the topics you want, simply and without having to wait for an invitation, as is the case with ClubHouse.
However, the update not only comes with that option, but Voice Chats 2.0 is completed with functions such as recording of voice chats, lists of participants in rich format, possibility to ask for a turn (raise your hand), send invitations for speakers, and listeners, title voice chats and the option for public figures to join these voice chats as their channels.
One of the improvements that we see compared to what Telegram had been implementing is that participants’ limits in voice chats are removed. Public group and channel managers can now host voice chats for millions of listeners.
It is as if it were a live podcast that can be recorded, and you will have saved messages. This option to register will be public and marked with a red light next to its title.
They have implemented a dynamic of raising their hands for listeners to participate in the talks. In this way, an administrator will give way to the participant who has done that action.
It has also been facilitated to share chats with other users through direct invitation links that open the voice chat. These links can be sent to be directly administrator or listener (they join muted).
As we can see, many new features in this new version for both iOS and Android. If you want to enjoy these features, you have to update Telegram from the Play Store or the App Store.

Xiaomi could launch a Mi Mix with a flexible screen, prototype insight

The Chinese company does not stop in the development and launch of devices. According to a leak, Xiaomi could relaunch its Mi Mix line with a new model with a flexible screen in direct competition with the Galaxy Fold.
The battle within the folding mobile segment seems to have been won by Samsung. It is the only company that offers mobile phones in the market with this technology with its Fold and Flip ranges.
Huawei Mate X was a good alternative, but the international stick of Google’s lack of services has slowed its push.
On this occasion, Xiaomi will jump on this trend with a model similar to the Fold, that is, a book type with the screen inside.
As we can read in igao7, a prototype with the Mix logo on the back and a transparent folding screen system has been spotted on the subway.
A hinge system had already been leaked with which Xiaomi could launch this type of device, and, of course, being Xiaomi weird, it would be that they did not do so. They have a model for every kind of user.
The Mix line is the top line in which Xiaomi launched technological innovations. This is how we saw the birth of the different models that had a sliding screen or cantilever sound without a speaker, and the company’s first 5G, among others. It seems that maybe 2021 is the time for Xiaomi to jump into the flexible screen mobile market.
Xiaomi neither confirms nor denies that it is working on this type of device. What should be clear is that the software shown is MIUI and that the Mix logo is shown on the back, let’s add one and one and that each one takes out their conclusions.
